Please join us for our first book club event! This event will be an initial meet and greet where we will go through how the book club will work, get to know each other, and take a peek at the scheduled books.
We are very excited to partner with our local bookstore: Copperfields! They are going to support our discussions and offer NMC Book Club Members an upgraded discount of 20%! If possible, please consider heading down to Novato Copperfields to pick up this month's selection: Antiracist Baby by Ibram X. Kendi. This will be a fun entry to book club... recommended by one of our very own co-directors, Emily! We will be reading and discussing ways to approach the important conversations with our littles. Moms are encouraged to meet and chat via zoom. Bring coffee or cocktails. Kids are welcome but not required. No pressure, just an opportunity to chat with other NMC mamas and maybe build some new connections over this important content.
There are two versions of this book, one is a board book for 3 and under, the other is a children’s book for 4 and up. Same price for both versions: $8.95. So with tax and our 20% discount, it will be just under $8.
Going forward, the book club will meet monthly, and read a new book every 3 months. This will allow us to discuss the evolution of the characters and follow along together as the stories transpire. Mama paced:) No meeting in December. Stay tuned for details about our January meeting!
