A beautiful April day found over 200 NMCers and their families participating in the Annual Easter Egg Hunt. This was a huge success due to the amazing turnout!! It’s probably safe to say that the Easter Bunny will have to leave more eggs out next year!
We had over 2500 eggs filled with candy for the big kids, and toys for the little kids. All children were grouped by age, and the youngest set were accompanied by parents, while the older kids were allowed to run amok on their own. Everyone also had fun looking for the golden egg, which one lucky child from each age group received a special prize for locating.
The actual hunt this year was over very quickly as it always is- it probably lasted less than five minutes! There seemed to be an increase in kids under 2 this year; it’s is always a treat to watch the little ones looking for eggs.
The weather was perfect for a visit from the Easter Bunny, and we had entertainment by Mister Q, singer extraordinaire, who got the kids engaged while waiting in line for the Easter Bunny. We also had tons of food baked and brought by our wonderful members as well as coffee and bagels generously donated by Peet’s Coffee & Tea and Noah’s Bagels.
We would like to thank all those who attended as well as those who volunteered or donated food. Also, thanks to our wonderful Co-Directors who helped out before and during the event, and of course, our committee of Shari T., Loree A. and Carla C., who did a great job this year!
